This blog is provided by www.onwebtalent.com in an effort to simplify putting Flash video on your website.
To install a Flash file .flv or .swf, it is a simple matter of importing the Flash file and dropping it where you want it in your site in most web design programs. In Dreamweaver for example Insert/Media/Flash You will then get a pop up to locate the file. Find where you put the file and select it and click on OK. The next panel will give you the option to save it in your site. Click yes and save it (to your root or a folder in your site, doesn’t matter) Object tag will pop up so you can Title the flash file. Best if you do this. At this point you should see the file where ever your cursor was. Drag the file to where ever you wish to place it on that page. In the properties page on the bottom of the page set the play properties. Example, Auto play, click off the loop play. DIY On line WEB Design Programs often allow this as well. You would just upload the video to them and place it where ever they allow Flash content. This comment provided by http://www.onwebtalent.com pre-made Flash website Greetings
Flash plays in Dreamweaver 3.0 testing but not when uploaded. Any one had this problem? Files are on the server, I checked that already. Has something to do with Dreamweaver script, from what I can tell. When looking at the page on the web, there is not even a box or space showing where the Flash video should be? When I import a working flash page into Dreamweaver 3.0 and in Preferences I un-click “insert browser safe scripts” and “convert tags to scripts on file open” The Flash page works fine on the web when it is uploaded?
